Yellow Brain Fungus is a very bright yellow fungus, It grows on dead and decaying fallen branches of deciduous trees especially oak, beech, hazel and occasionally on pine. It develops contortions which resembles the structure of a brain which gives its name. It is also sometimes referred to as Witch's Butter. Best time to see this fungi is in very wet weather or damp areas. Location New forest, Hampshire.
